UK and Ireland Dream - People to People
Every so often - a good story comes along - and makes up for the heartaches one reads in the news.
THIS IS AN INSPIRING STORY ABOUT ANASTASIA.
A really great - good feeling story. Please Donate Generously.
"Welcome to UK & Ireland Dream www.ukandirelanddream.com This website was built to help raise money for a teenage girl to take a trip to the United Kingdom and Ireland with the student ambassador program called People to People. To learn more, please check out What are we doing?"
"Hi. My name is Anastasia and I am a sophomore in Upstate South Carolina. I am a normal 15 year old who likes to have fun and hang out with friends. I am very motivated to do my best in every subject, especially when it comes to Science. Science is my best subject and it has been since I was in junior high school. I come from a fairly small family of 2 brothers, my mom and step-dad. I spend Christmas and summers with my Dad and step-mom in Texas.
I got a letter from the People to People program I was very excited to see that I was invited to go the UK and Ireland. I had to get references from teachers, and have an interview to be accepted. When they called me and said "Congratulations, you are accepted", I was so excited! I want to go to College and this will help with my college applications and gives me high school credits!
The People to People program is a program for outstanding junior high and high school students looking to being student ambassadors. On the website (www.studentambassadors.org) they can describe the program better than I can. "People to People Student Ambassador Programs are invitation-only programs that provide international educational opportunities for grade school, junior high, and high school students. The educational journey combines hands-on cultural experiences; unique, behind-the-scenes access to fascinating people and places; and amazing outdoor adventures to create a life-changing educational experience for every participant."
I am creating this website to help raise the tuition money. The tuition is $5,199.00 plus 299.00 flight fee, and $125.00 insurance so we want to raise $6000.00 to make sure we have enough for everything. I will be selling squares on my site for $5 each to raise the tuition. You can buy squares and I will put up a picture (you can send the picture) and link to advertise your site. I will update everyone on the progress and I am hoping this website will help me raise the money I need. The program will allow me to meet new people and have new cultural experiences and I am dying to make it happen!
When you donate $5.00, we will post your website link with small picture in the squares on the home page. The picture size must be approx. 75 x 50 pixels for each square purchased. If you do not have a website we will post your name. You can buy more squares if you wish, each at $5.00. Once you have made a donation, please email us your purchase confirmation, picture and site link or Name and will be posted within 2 days. Thanks for your help!
Thank you for your help!!
