Adre' Anna Jackson: parents given lie-detector tests
LAKEWOOD, Wash. – The parents of a 10-year-old girl missing for 10 weeks have been given lie-detector tests, KING 5 News learned Wednesday.
Ten-year-old Adre'Anna Jackson disappeared Dec. 2 from the Tillicum area of Lakewood. She was last seen walking to school, although school had been cancelled that day because of snow.
Police have scoured the neighborhood and used sonar to look deep into nearby American Lake, but have not yet said what they think happened to the girl.
But KING 5 News has learned that both of the girl’s parents were given polygraph tests on Tuesday.
“I guess we’re to the point now where they want to, you know, eliminate us,” said Jackson’s mother, Yvette Gervais.
The girl’s father, Jon Federici took the test twice. The results were inconclusive, according to police.
Police have also seized underwear belonging to both Federici and Jackson and are performing DNA tests on both.
Federici was jailed in 2002 on a misdemeanor charge of assaulting Jackson.
Adre'Anna Jackson, who disappeared Dec. 2, 2005, is seen in this home video taken a year earlier.
But he told KING 5 that police should back off from him and start looking into the many sex offenders that live in the neighborhood.
He also called the assault charge overblown.
Asked if her husband could be involved, Gervais responded, “I don’t’ think so. I know. I just … no.”
Lakewood Police Det. Brett Farrar is withholding judgment.
“It means he’s somebody we’re looking at but he hasn’t risen to the suspect level yet,” Farrar said. “Obviously, we’re taking a look at him.”
Detectives are also questioning family friends and have collected some empty cement bags found in a Dumpster.
“As time goes further, the less good it looks,” Gervais said.
