Crime Stoppers asks for help in finding man wanted in rapes
Tacoma, WA -- Detectives from the Pierce and King County sheriff’s departments and Tacoma police have asked for help in finding a man they think has raped women on three occasions.
The man struck Aug. 31 on Pasadena Avenue in Fircrest, Oct. 9 in the 600 block of South Trafton Street in Tacoma and Friday at the Enchanted Woods Apartments, 2020 S. 360th St., in Federal Way. In each attack, he broke into a house or an apartment in the early morning, carrying a gun and wearing a ski mask and black gloves.
The man demanded money from the victims, then raped them at gunpoint. During two of the attacks, he tied up roommates before raping the victims.
Detectives have ruled out a connection between the rapist and another man, who some Enchanted Woods residents said tried to sell them subscriptions to The News Tribune.
Crime Stoppers has offered a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest and charges in the crimes. The organization’s number is 253-591-5959
