Woman's Body Found At Maine State Pier

Portland Police say a man waiting for a ride at the pier discovered the body this morning around 7:30.

Police say it appears the woman's body had been in the water for some time and it's at the State Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy to determine how the woman died.

Police are not saying whether the woman found is Lynn Moran, but it was three weeks ago today that Moran disappeared from the Old Port.

She had been out to lunch with friends and visited an acquaintance on Market Street, but then disappeared.

Police searched for any sign of Moran throughout the Old Port. Volunteers and wardens searched South Portland near the police department, which is near the water, after a woman says she saw Moran there the night Moran disappeared.

Police are planning a press conference for later today and News Center will have the latest tonight.
