Hurricane Wilma West Palm Beach Florida
Since there is no power in West Palm Beach from Hurricane Wilma.......
I was watching http://www.tcpalm.com/tcp/wptv - streaming video - and the report from Florida Power and Light - their projected turn on dates - in Palm Beach County is - as I experienced 13 months ago from Hurricane Frances.
2 weeks minimum...That's a date of November 8th - as one of the outside dates - meaning power could come on earlier - but honestly - that is just what I experienced last year. And then another date of November 15th was thrown out - for the extreme ends of lines.
WOW...FPL says that - It isn't so much that Wilma was catastrophic - it is that there is a lot of damage in such a wide spread area...
News says: "Wilma causes largest power outage in FPL history...98% of users in South Florida without power; FPL repairs could take 'up to 4 weeks'
Residents had a week to prepare but still were left gasping at Wilma's strength and reach, which could end up costing $10 billion in damage, more than any one of the four storms to hit the state last year."
