Sandra Beth Geisel, Sentenced To 6 Months For Sex With 16-Year-Old

The former CBA teacher accused of having sex with a 16-year-old student will likely be out of jail by the end of the year.

Sandra "Beth" Geisel was charged with three counts of rape and one count of performing a criminal sexual act. On Monday, she pleaded guilty to one count of rape as part of a plea agreement.

Geisel will get six months behind bars when she is sentenced in November. This will include time already served. In addition, she will to have to register as a sex offender and will be on probation for 10 years.

Defense Attorney Donald Kinsella said, "A trial would have been a spectacle for her family. As you can see, you all are invited by the DA's office saying this isn't something you should miss. A trial would have been a total spectacle."

District Attorney David Soares said, "This is a person who is going to be subjected to probation for the next 10 years, will have to register as a sex offender, whose life is totally changed now as a result as her behavior. We held her accountable. This is the best disposition in this case."

Geisel was fired from CBA back in June after she was caught having sex with a 17-year-old student. No charges were filed in that case because the student was of consenting age.

Geisel has been in jail since her bail was revoked last month following a DWI arrest.
