Sex Offenders Could Be Monitored By GPS

While sexual predators are required to put themselves on a sex offender registry, officials across the country are finding out those registries are far from accurate.

Other proposals include banning registered sex offenders from living near parks and schools, and increased penalties for possession of child pornography, date rape and use of the Internet to lure minors.

With the GPS technology, authorities would also be able to track the travel history of offenders to see if they've visited playgrounds, schools or other areas frequented by children.
