Man Accused Of Raping, Impregnating Girl, 11
TAMPA - A registered sex offender was arrested Monday afternoon, accused of plying an 11-year-old girl with alcohol in August, raping and impregnating her.
Ordray Sada Smith, 31, of 2123 W. Beach St., already was in jail on a charge of failing to properly register with the state as a sex offender.
Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies said Smith got the girl drunk and then engaged in sexual intercourse with her. The child became pregnant and delivered the baby, deputies said. The young mother now is 12, and DNA samples were taken from the girl and the baby to determine paternity.
Deputies listened in on a telephone conversation between the girl and Smith, and he talked about the offense, deputies said.
Smith was charged with child abuse with impregnation. He also was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Jail records show that Smith had been in jail since June 20. No bail was set.
