Ex-Catholic school teacher arrested for molesting boys

HOUSTON -- A former Catholic school teacher in Houston has been charged with sexual assaulting two boys over a six-year period.

Authorities today announced 57-year-old Stuart Alan Murphy was arrested after confessing to authorities that he molested the boys.

Investigators believe the victims were between ten and 13 years old when the abuse began.

Murphy is charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and four counts of indecency with a child.

Bond is 600-thousand dollars.

Murphy worked as a teacher at a Catholic school in Houston and volunteered as a choir director at Annunciation Catholic Church.

Authorities didn't release the name of the school.

Officers were alerted after a couple told Katy police that they found child pornography on their computer after Murphy had stayed at their home.
