Woman Sentenced For Engaging in Child Sex Acts

SALT LAKE CITY -- A Logan woman who engaged in sex acts with her young children while her husband photographed them will serve more than 12 years in prison.

Terri Michele Anderson, 29, was sentenced Monday in federal court for six counts of child exploitation of a child.

Her husband, Keith Anderson, 47, also has pleaded guilty to the same six counts and will be sentenced May 17.

Terri Anderson repeatedly engaged in sexual activity with the boys, who were both under the age of 7, between January and September 2003. Keith Anderson, 47, recorded the sex acts with a Web cam or digital camera.

He was convicted in 1997 of sexual abuse of a child, and listed as a registered sex offender on a Web site maintained by the state.

Terri Anderson estimated she had contact with the two children 10 to 15 times, and said she knew her husband was recording the acts on at least some of those occasions, according to court documents.

She said she stopped having sexual contact with the children after the couple moved into separate homes in September 2003.

Investigators believe the alleged exploitation took place in Tremonton.

The children, whose surname is not Anderson, were removed from the home before the charges were filed in federal court because the images were allegedly transmitted across state lines on the Internet.

As part of Terri Anderson's sentence, she was ordered to participate in a sex offender program. According to court documents, the court recommended Anderson be incarcerated as close to Utah as possible to facilitate family visitation and participation in such a program.
