Seneca County man charged with sexually abusing 6-year-old girl

A Seneca County man is behind bars charged with sexually abusing a 6-year-old girl. The Seneca County Sheriff’s Department says 39-year-old John Mead abused the girl at a home in the Village of Waterloo. Mead is charged with 64 counts of sexual child abuse, 26 counts of a criminal sexual act and 8 counts of rape.

Investigators say Mead subjected the child to numerous sexual acts over a 6-month period. He is being held in the Seneca County correctional facility on $100,000.00 bond.
