Adams man held on sexual abuse charges
PITTSFIELD, MA. -- Richard R. LaBlue Jr., 34, of Alger Street, Adams, was arraigned Monday afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on a sexual assault charge. He appeared before Judge Thomas Curley.
LaBlue had not guilty pleas entered on three counts of rape and abuse of a child: no force and two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 (second offense). Judge Curley ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $300,000 cash or $3,000,000 surety bail.
It is alleged that LaBlue sexually assaulted a girl who is now 12 years of age in Adams between April 9, 2000, and April 27, 2004.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Adams Police Department.
