Fmr. Sunday School Teacher Charged In Sexual Abuse of Girls
Rodgers Forge, Md. (AP) - A former Sunday school teacher in Baltimore County is facing charges in the alleged sexual abuse of three girls at his home near Towson.
County police say 50-year-old Raymond Smith was a Sunday school teacher at Cockeysville Baptist Church.
The first victim, a 10-year-old girl, told police Smith sexually assaulted her about a year ago. A second girl said Smith assaulted her a few months ago during a sleep-over with the suspect's daughter. A third girl said the suspect touched her the day after the sleep-over.
Smith is charged with three counts each of child abuse, sexual abuse of a minor and third-degree sex offense. He is also charged with a second-degree sex offense, a perverted practice, and two counts of fourth-degree sex offense.
He is being held without bail.
