Hurricane Survivor Again

God Blessed Me ...........Again

I dodged a big bullet. I got my power back after 3 days this time - not the 12 - from Hurricane Frances.

It could have been - that since repairs were made to lines - reconstructed recently after Hurricane Frances - that it was easy for this neighborhood to get back online.

As of this writing - there are still 240,000 poor souls without power in Palm Beach County.

I pray for them - because we have had record breaking heat - here in South Florida.

Thank You all for your well wishes.

I wouldn't want you to experience what I had. I experienced the outer wall of a category 3 hurricane. It is very frightening. Both wind directions were very dramatic.

Again - no roof leaks - Thank God - a lot of foliage and hedges - bent totally down around the property - as if God's hand - just came down and laid the hedges [ 14 footers ] - down on their side.

My Sabrina pup - survived this Hurricane - far better than the first - Frances. That was a very prolonged wet experience. I worried - so much for her.

This time - she said: "Dad, no problem - I've been through this before"

Two things that are remarkable about an oncoming storm - Dogs and all animals react very quickly - when they experience the drop in the barometric pressure. They tell you in advance - as to when danger is coming.

Another barometer of how low - the barometric pressure is - is to watch the lowering of the water in your toilet. I don't mean - the tank - I mean - the amount of water one sees in the bowl. It becomes very low.

In this storm - I stayed in my "safe room" with Sabrina - the bathroom.

What a historic event to have experienced. Two Hurricanes in three weeks - passing across the same path. Unprecedented
